In addition to the tiles themselves, Tariki Studio has developed a
photographic and digital transfer process that can reproduce these same tile
paintings on other media such as paper, glass, and plastic. The photography
is able to capture the internal color and geochemical crystalline structure
of the glaze. Transferring the image to paper in the form of an iris print
creates a truly stunning and wonderful work of art that offers a unique view
into the hidden cosmos of chemical reactions that take place in a ceramic
kiln. |
