The Tariki Studio Design Process
Tariki Studio welcomes all inquiries about sculpture and design projects.
The design process consists of collecting initial site data, a site visit, and submitting the design proposal to the client.
Providing he following information will help to expedite and launch the design process.
Site Data:
For Private/Residential Commissions:
1. If possible send photos of the proposed site and installation location.
2. For new construction, enclose the blueprint if available or a drawing of the proposed site location.
3. Include a detailed list of available mechanical data, such as the location or accessibility of plumbing and electrical services, site constraints, special requirements, etc.
4. For private commissions in urban areas, please supply parking and maintenance information and contacts.
For Public Projects:
1. Enclose a list of all local/state/federal parties involved in design and execution of the project.
2. Enclose a list of all deadlines and insurance forms that must be filed.
On any project, the studio will be happy to work with local businesses for support services, if requested.
Site Visit:
1. The site visit will be scheduled as soon as Tariki Studio receives the design proposal back from the client. The studio is willing to visit sites for large projects outside of the New England region. Please contact us about travel charges.
Design Proposal:
1. Acceptance of a proposal by the client must be accompanied by a payment of 10% of the estimated budget as a startup design fee.
2. Tariki Studio will provide drawings and/or models to the client as part of the proposal. Please note that CAD or 3D computer-generated images require additional starter fees.
3. Refinement of or changes to the initial proposal, and final presentation by Tariki, are part of the package.
4. Payment schedules will be detailed in the proposal. A typical schedule consists of an initial deposit, second payment prior to shipping/delivery, and final balance and/or installation expenses due upon completion of the project.
